SMPS DC Holiday Party Recap

Although rainy outside, the mood at the SMPS DC holiday party was nothing but festive. The 2016 SMPS DC Holiday Party and fundraiser for the Children's Inn at NIH was an incredible success.
Prequel was packed with more than 100 AEC professionals, including many new members and non-members interested in learning more about SMPS. More than 30 items were raffled and auctioned off throughout the evening, raising nearly $5,000 for the Children's Inn at NIH.
We have to give a special shout out to Veneklasen Associates for their event sponsorship - thank you! In addition, they brought a special treat for all of our guests - chocolate truffles from Fleurir. Not many were left by the end of the night - they were delicious! Thanks also to Sam Kittner for photographing the event.
We asked our guests to bring canned food items to pack the pantry at the Children's Inn and SMPS DC members answered. Our entire donation train was packed to the brim with non-perishable food items.
NIH representatives in attendance were overwhelmed with the generosity of the attendees and were very thankful. Thank you to all who attended and/or donated an item to our raffle to make this event such a success.
