Event Recap: Frosty Fiesta & Charity Drive

SMPS DC kicked off our first networking event of 2023 with the Frosty Fiesta & Charity Drive on Thursday, January 19. The winter bash covered all the bases—beautiful venue, delicious food, perfectly-crafted cocktails, and of course, ample networking with other SMPS DC members and (hopefully) soon-to-be members!
We were treated to a frosty surprise when SMPS DC President, Amy Cuddy, gave her welcoming remarks to the group in an inflatable snowman costume. That’s one president that surely knows how to grab your attention! Amy thanked our event sponsors (listed below), promoted the chapter’s can’t-miss upcoming events (check out our calendar!) and treated us to some frosty trivia.
This event featured a charity drive for DC Doors, a nonprofit agency serving families and single individuals to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness through various social welfare programs throughout the Metropolitan region. To support the agency, we collected new/gently used winter gear and toiletries. Through everyone’s efforts, we donated over 225 pounds of clothes/toiletries to DC Doors.
